Christina Tonkin comes to the world of interior design via the film and television industry. She began her career as an assistant decorator on feature films in 1991. She was fortunate enough to move on to the trend setting television series Sex and the City where she worked for 5 years under production designer Jeremy Conway. She currently decorates sets on the sexy and controversial hit show Gossip Girl. Christina’s talents carry over to the residential interior, event and art worlds.
She specializes in art consulting for private residential clients, has worked on the fundraising board for the Queens Council on the Arts and has a close working relationship with the Art Production Fund. Christina was raised in New York and Hawaii. She was awarded an academic scholarship to Marymount Manhattan College where she received a BA in Communication Arts. She currently resides and works in New York and Hawaii.
